Meet Dr. Christopher C. Friedl
Christopher C. Friedl, DDS
Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics
Dr. Friedl was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Friedl received a BS in Psychology with Honors from the University of Michigan in 2007. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of Michigan in 2011. Immediately following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Friedl moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he practiced general dentistry for two years, during which time his affinity for endodontics intensified, and so, too, did his aspiration to pursue specialty training in endodontics. Dr. Friedl was admitted to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry’s post-graduate training program in endodontics in 2013.
After receiving his certificate in endodontics in 2015, Dr. Friedl joined a private practice limited to endodontics in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he practiced for five years prior to acquiring a private practice limited to endodontics in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In 2025, Dr. Friedl sold his practice in Colorado; following the birth of his daughter, Dr. Friedl wanted to be near family and among the friendly people of the Midwest. After careful deliberation, he returned to Iowa to pursue a start-up endodontic specialty practice in the town in which his endodontic career began.
Dr. Friedl is board certified by the American Board of Endodontics, a distinction held by fewer than one-quarter of all endodontic specialistsis. He is an author of several publications, which have appeared in the Journal of Endodontics and in the Australian Endodontic Journal, as well as an active member of the American Board of Endodontics, the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Davenport District Dental Society. Lastly, Dr. Friedl is an adjunct faculty at the University of Iowa in the Department of Endodontics.
While in Iowa and during his post-graduate training in endodontics, Dr. Friedl was fortunate to meet his now-wife, Lauren (Dr. Jensen), with whom he practiced in Colorado and founded Endodontic Specialists of the Quad Cities. In 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Penelope. She is the light of their lives. In his spare time, Dr. Friedl enjoys hiking, photography, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He is elated to have returned to the Quad Cities.
